CALL FOR SPEAKERS


The theme of the conference is ‘Emerging crime trends in Europe’.

A further Call for Speakers is now open in relation to Plenary One, Three and Four (Download call for speakers).  The IAP is inviting proposals from all IAP members who are interested in giving a presentation during one of these plenary sessions of the conference to submit an abstract for consideration for inclusion in the programme by the Professional Programme Committee.

The deadline for submission is 13 September 2024.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME

Spouse/Partner Policy

We acknowledge that some participants will be accompanied by their spouse/partner to Malta. While there will be no special programme for partners, the host invites partners to attend the full social programme. If you are bringing your spouse/partners to the social events, please register her/him as part of the online registration. 

 
Welcome Reception
Date: Wednesday 06 November 2024
Time: 19:00 - 22:00 hrs
Venue: Malta Maritime Museum, Vittoriosa
Dress code: Business attire/National dress

The Welcome Reception will be hosted in the Malta Maritime Museum situated at the Vittoriosa Waterfront. The Malta Maritime Museum is housed within the Old Naval Bakery and boasts 7000 years of Malta’s maritime history.

For the convenience of the conference participants a shuttle bus service will be provided from the official conference hotel and venue (Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa) to and from the Malta Maritime Museum.  

Official Dinner
Date: Thursday 07 November 2024
Time: 19:30 - 23:00 hrs
Venue Villa Arrigo, Naxxar
Dress code: Business attire/National dress

The Official Dinner will be held at Villa Arrigo, Naxxar. Villa Arrigo is an elegant Villa situated in San Pawl tat-Targa, Naxxar, an exclusive area in the Maltese Islands. The décor, grand marquee and immaculate gardens create a pleasant and tranquil atmosphere.

For the convenience of the conference participants a shuttle bus service will be provided from the official conference hotel and venue (Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa) to and from Villa Arrigo.

Cultural Visit and Farewell Reception

Date: Friday 08 November 2024
Time: 15:30 - 18:00 hrs (cultural visit)
18:00 - 20:00 hrs (Farewell Reception)
Venue: City of Valletta (cultural visit) / MUŻA (reception)
Dress code: Smart casual (comfortable shoes)

The cultural visit will be a tour of the City of Valletta.  Delegates will then go directly to the Farewell Reception.

The Farewell Reception will be hosted at the MUŻA Museum of Fine Arts housed within Auberge d’Italie, a fine exemplar of the Baroque style which boomed throughout most of the tenure of the Order of Saint John.

For the convenience of the conference participants a shuttle bus service will be provided from the official conference hotel and venue (Malta Marriott Hotel & Spa) to and from the MUŻA Museum of Fine Arts.
