TIME ZONE

The standard time zone in Azerbaijan is four hours ahead of UTC (UTC+04:00). Daylight saving time (DST) is no longer in use.

CLIMATE

Baku has a temperate semi-arid climate with warm and dry summers, cool and occasionally wet winters, and strong winds all year long. September is a dry month with an average maximum temperature around 25.0°C.

ELECTRICITY

The Azerbaijan power sockets are of type C and F. The standard voltage is 220 V and frequency is 50 Hz.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

RELIGION

Most of the population follows Islam, but Azerbaijan is a secular country, and the Muslim dress code is not enforced nor expected.
