The multi-course Gala Dinner will take place in Gulustan Palace, which is located on Baku's highland, on Istiglaliyyat Street, overlooking the whole city of Baku and Baku Bay. The palace serves as an official facility for governmental and non-governmental organisations holding various formal events.  


The distance from Baku Convention Center is 20 minutes by car. 

Professional Networking Night

Tuesday night’s networking event will take place at the Ruby360Baku, which is located in the National Flag Square Complex. Ruby360 is an elegant restaurant located at Flag Square in Baku, offering diners stunning views of the Caspian Sea and the city's skyline. Known for its chic, modern décor, the restaurant provides a sophisticated atmosphere that pairs well with its menu, which features a mix of Azerbaijani and international cuisines. Whether for a casual meal or a special celebration, Ruby360 offers a memorable dining experience with its panoramic vistas and carefully curated food and drink selections. Its prime location near Flag Square makes it a popular choice for both locals and visitors.

Farewell Reception

The farewell reception will be hosted in the Gosha-Gala restaurant located on Shuvalan Road, Buzovna. Nestled 2 km from the Caspian Sea, the restaurant, established in 2016, pays homage to the venerable Gosha Gala, a historic fortress dating back to the 12th century in Baku's old city. Aptly named "Double Fortress" in Azerbaijani, it stands as a testament to the rich cultural and architectural legacy of Azerbaijan. The restaurant seamlessly blends modernity with historical reverence, creating a captivating ambiance that echoes the spirit of the ancient fortress. 


The distance from Baku Convention Center is 30 minutes by car. 

PARTNERS PROGRAMME

The conference host has decided to provide a full spouse/partner programme during the 29th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors in Baku, Azerbaijan. The programme will comprise of a half-day tour on Monday 30 September 2024 (10:00hrs - 14:00hrs) and a full-day tour on Tuesday 01 October 2024 (10:00hrs - 17:00hrs).

HEYDAR ALIYEV CENTRE - Designed by the illustrious Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, the Centre opened in 2012.  Its astonishing curved, wave-like shape and innovative use of space have turned it into an icon of modern Azerbaijan. In 2014 the stunning structure, which does not have a single straight line, won the London Design Museum's prestigious Design of the Year Award.

The building is a world-class exhibition and museum complex that promotes diversity and unity. It showcases permanent and temporary collections of local and global arts and culture, including a museum exploring the life of Heydar Aliyev, a Mini Azerbaijan exhibition, and a collection of classic cars. The Centre also has a cafeteria and an auditorium for international events and conferences. The surrounding area is a large green park for relaxation and getting away from the urban rush.

BAKU'S OLD CITY – The old city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with medieval walls and fascinating Oriental architecture. It's like a living open-air museum, with narrow alleys, museums, art galleries, and great eateries. Don't miss the mysterious Maiden Tower and the stunning Shirvanshahs' Palace. There are also hidden gems like the Museum of Miniature Books and the Marionette Theatre, along with historic mosques, caravanserais, and independent art galleries.

CARPET MUSEUM – The Carpet Museum in Baku is a unique building designed to look like a rolled-up carpet, and it displays the largest collection of Azerbaijani carpets in the world, with over 6,000 on display. The carpets are arranged according to style and region, and visitors can learn about Azerbaijan’s 7 regional carpet weaving schools and the designs that reflect local culture. In addition, the museum also displays other carpet products and handicrafts, including textiles, costume, embroidery, jewelry, ceramics, glass, wood, and paper. Visitors can watch live demonstrations of carpet-making and purchase souvenirs in the gift shop.

GALA STATE HISTORICAL AND ETHNOGRAPHIC RESERVE – The reserve is a place where you can explore Bronze Age rock paintings and a medieval town. The 81-hectare complex offers interactive experiences such as carpet weaving, pottery making, and blacksmith workshops. Additionally, the museum features an exhibit called "From Waste to Art," showcasing artworks made from household rubbish. The reserve also includes a mini zoo with baby goats, lambs, and a baby camel.


ATESHGAH FIRE TEMPLE
– The Ateshgah Fire Temple, located in the village of Surakhani, has been attracting crowds of thrill-seekers for centuries due to its naturally burning flames and rich history. The temple, built in the 17th–18th centuries, was a place of pilgrimage for Zoroastrians and Hindus, and now houses a museum. Nearby Yanardag in Mammadli village features a 10-meter wall of flames that blaze day and night. Both sites are must-visits for those intrigued by natural phenomena

POST CONFERENCE TOUR PROGRAMME

For those conference participants who are considering staying in Azerbaijan after the closing of the conference, our host, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Mr. Kamran Aliyev, has very generously decided to arrange a two-day trip to one of the regions.

You are invited to join this exclusive post-conference tour to the captivating city of Gabala. Attendance is optional and free of charge but in order to arrange the visits in proper manner, those who are interested in attending this programme are requested to indicate their interest in doing so at the time of the registration.
