PRACTICAL INFORMATION

CLIMATE

March usually marks the arrival of spring in this part of India. The weather tends to warm up, and the days are expected to be bright and sunny, with temperatures climbing during the day, hovering around 30 degrees Celsius. Nights remain pleasant, warmer than in February, with temperatures inching towards 15-18 degrees Celsius. Humidity increases slightly, but is generally moderate, and rainfall is largely absent. Delegates are advised to pack clothing suitable for warm days, particularly cotton and breathable materials. A light jacket or shawl might be useful for evenings in case it gets cooler, especially earlier in the month.

ELECTRICITY AND DEVICES

The standard voltage is 230V, while the standard frequency is 50Hz. Type C, D and M plugs are widely available in India. Devices not compatible with these plugs may require the attendees to carry a travel adapter.

TIPPING

Service charges are not mandatory in Delhi, and some restaurants may or may not include them in their bills. If you are satisfied with the service, you may consider giving a tip that you feel is appropriate. In the event that a service charge is included in a bill, offering a tip in addition is at your discretion.
